In the center – the emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two-headed eagle with the wings down, below – the semicircular inscription – “Bank of Russia” , framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions on the edge: above – “One Hundred Rubles”. Below you can see the year of issue 2003, the letters on the left indicate the metal mark and fineness, on the right – the fine metal content and the mark of the Moscow Mint.
Above, in the frame of a stylized window arch you can see the view of factory buildings on the shore of a lake, below, in the center – flags, artillery guns with round shots, left and right – fir trees. The inscription on the edge – “ПЕТРОЗАВОДСК” (Petrozavodsk).
The city of Petrozavodsk was founded in 1703 under the name “Petrovskaya Sloboda” because of the construction of a cannon foundry.
