History

The Amur tiger lives in the Far East in the Primorsky region, where its permanent habitat extends to the left bank of the Amur River. The Amur tiger is listed in the Red Book of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources; hunting has been banned in the Russian Federation since 1947.
