History

The Patriotic War of 1812 began on June 12 – on that day Napoleon’s troops crossed the Niemen River and sparked a war between the two crowns of France and Russia. The war lasted until December 14, 1812 and ended with the complete and unconditional victory of the Russian and allied troops.
