We present the Bophuthatswana 1977 gold medallion “The Birth of a Nation” minted by the South African Historical Mint in Cape Town and certified by PCGS with an SP64 grade. This edition is the only one in the world that has been certified at PCGS to date. Through the holder, the medal is also protected by tamper-proof NFC technology.

This rare collectible has serial number 84 and comes with an original certificate of authenticity. With only 3000 pieces in circulation worldwide, this medallion is a unique piece of South African history. Weighing 36 grams, the 18-karat gold medallion is 38 mm in diameter and bears the stamps of the South African Historical Mint and the South African Bureau of Standards, as well as stamps indicating the year of minting and the purity of the precious metal.
