Krugerrand 1 oz 1993 Proof Gold Coin

This is the 1993 1 oz Krugerrand gold coin in Proof/PP (Polished Plate) mint quality, minted with a mintage of only 3963 pieces.

Front:

The obverse of the Krugerrand gold coin features the world-famous portrait of Paul Kruger, after whom the series of Krugerrand coins was named. Paul Kruger, then President of South Africa (1883 to 1902), founded the mint from which the South African Mint emerged. On the edge of the coin was stamped the country of issue in English and Afrikaans.

Back cover:

The reverse of the Krugerrand gold coin features a springbok motif with a stylized South African steppe landscape in the background. Likewise, the coin’s fine weight, fineness, and precious metal are shown on the obverse of the coin.

The gold coin is encapsulated and packaged in a red case from the SA Mint.
