Description

This is 1 oz Krugerrand gold coin from 1969. This is embedded in a capsule of Scoin, which belongs to SAGCE (South African Gold Coin Exchange). It also comes with the original black SAGCE case.

Front:

The obverse of the Krugerrand gold coin features the world-famous portrait of Paul Kruger, after whom the series of Krugerrand coins was named. Paul Kruger, then President of South Africa (1883 to 1902), founded the mint from which the South African Mint emerged. On the edge of the coin was stamped the country of issue in English and Afrikaans.

Back cover:

The reverse of the Krugerrand gold coin features a springbok motif with a stylized South African steppe landscape in the background. Above this motif is embossed the name of the coin. Likewise, the coin’s fine weight, fineness, and precious metal are shown on the obverse of the coin.
